    Barrel Racing Prospect

I've been eyeing this boy for awhile and have emailed with his owner. Never tried him, out of state. He was to slow for the track. Least not good enough to keep racing when the owner has more on the way. Just want more opinions on him...

They don't have a single flattering picture, do they? He looks long, and thin through the heartgirth, but it's hard to get an overall sense of his leg conformation and balance.

He's not the build I'd choose for a barrel horse and if you going to spend that much money on a barrel horse I'd go for something atleast started on barrels. Plus you never know what kind of temperment your going to get from a former racer. And horses are going for dirt cheap these days so if I was going to spend $3K that horse better be earning some $ barrel racing already. Well that's my opinion atleast. Take it or leave it =D.

But I don't want a going horse, looking for a really nice prospect to run 2D at big shows, 1D local. Can't afford one going like that. And he has nice bloodlines. Im gambling basically. Looking for the best looking prospect I can afford

Just saying I bought a nice prospect with barrel racing blood lines that I have started on barrels for $400 bucks. Just becareful I've worked with ottb's and sometimes they don't come from the best situations.

He's a qh, and his owner is his trainer. Everything she's told has checked out. And I've seen your prospect ..

Really he's more of an appendix since he has a high percentage of TB in there.

I think he'd do ya good. He's only been OTT for little over a month. Get him filled out and muscled up, and I see you having a nice horse.
