Thanks everyone! We were cantering towards a cow pasture, so she was extra alert in those pictures ;). Yeah, she's a bast to ride, a little hard to handle on the ground though, but she's getting better. OH! Ya'll gotta see this really pretty pic of her a year ago :)!(see below) I'm using her only saddle, so I don't have a smaller one, but I will definately work on getting my legs underneath me more. Does my posting look weird to anyone? Just asking, cause I think it does :)

My advice would be relax some. You're very tense, and I think that is causing some of your issues both in posting and at the canter. Your feet should only have enough weight in them that you could hold an egg without cracking it. (that was how I was taught at least) Do that and relax your seat, and I think that you would be in a more natural looking position. :)

Gorgeous horse!!! have fun!!!

Your hands need to come up. Your wrists are also way too bent for decent control. Pull your shoulders back, bend your elbows, and straighten your wrists. You should not look like you are riding a bike. You should really look like you are driving a car. Thumbs up.

Drop your stirrups a hole, and sit deep on your pockets, in the middle. Your legs look really, really braced up front. You do need to try to bring your leg under you more.

I will find you a few exerpts from Gayle Lampe's "Riding For Success" tomorrow that hopefully you will find useful.

In the meantime, I am sending you a PM.
