Foal
Confirmation Critique for trail horse.

Just want to know peoples opinion on this mare. Miss Otoe Pete Quarter Horse She is a registered AQHA, 12 yrs old, never been ridden, used as a broodmare till now, no soundness issues. I would put some time on her and she would be used as a second horse to have around for trail riding and if good enough she would be used for my niece and nephews. She is bred for a 2012 foal and I want to know what you think of the match. I would be training the foal with the idea of possibly selling as a trail horse down the road depending on it turns out. I would train the foal with the basics of a reining horse but it would be an all around horse unless it really excelled at something in particular.

So what I want to know is...

A. Do you see any huge conformational flaws in the mare?

B. Do you see any conformational flaws in the stud? Tontos Velvet Doc Quarter Horse

C. I realize you can't predict how a foal will turn out but do you think it would be a confomationally decent foal?

The pictures of her aren't the greatest and keep in mind that she has never been trained so there are no muscles in shape on her. They want $400.00 for her. (baby included) I would be buying the mare already bred.

The first 5 pictures are of the mare and the last 5 are of the stud.

Thanks

Does the stallion have show record?

I think they both look nice. (: Although I can't really tell from the stallion's photos.

LOVE the stud lol
As for confo, the mare looks nice & solid. A little high in the wither but no big deal. Her neck is a little short but for what you want & think she would make a good trail horse. In my PO confo isnt a biggie for trail riding, temperment is what you want to look for.

As for the stud, I think he's gorgeous Again, very solidly built & I think you'll have a very pretty baby if you buy her.
