Green Broke
Would probably do dressage training first, then go from there
How exciting haha I think any horse really could do low level stuff, the jumps most horses could trot over.

Look at Karen O'Connors mount Teddy - he was a little guy! But he had a lot of heart, power and ability!

Make sure you share lots of pics with us through your progress together :)

I think he will do fine in dresage. He carries his head and neck nicely, doesn't propell himself from his front legs, and has a fair amount of suspension in his trot and canter. He will do better than the average Arab (if there is such a thing) in dressage.

That horse has gorgeous natural gaits and has the nicest balance in motion of any horse I've ever seen on any of these bulletin boards.

That horse can do anything.

The thing will be, you'll have to forget everything you learned for Western, that jog and lope, English Pleasure, and all that. Just forget all that 'head down and round' stuff too. Forget that lopey huntery loose rein stuff too, if you want to live in eventing. Sure, people get away with it a little at the lower levels, but everyone else is having heart failure watching them.

Besides that, if you apply yourself, you won't just be doing the lower level stuff with this horse.

You should absolutely zero problem, if you get some good instruction and are willing to do things differently. You're just as balanced as your horse.

Cripes that is a nice horse!! Elegant and catty and beautiful natural gaits!

I've already changed my riding style quite a bit, as I've been taking jumper lessons. And of course we'll get a good dressage trainer to help us out.

Thank you! We'll just see how we progress in our training together :)

Once again, thank you! :) I'm very proud of him (I'd be proud of him even if he was just an ole trail horse lol), I've never recieved such compliments though. Thanks! Lol :)

What do you mean by catty?

GO EVENT!!! Size is not allways an obsticale. I evented on my 14.1 arab at novice level (2'11" approx.) and she jumped 3'6" and scored in the twenties on dressage! Did I mention I trained her... (im just a kid)
