Cricket, Before and after.

Alright y'all!! I dug up some pictures of Cricket the VERY first moment I saw her. SO tell me what y'all think! It's very important to me.

Heres my poor child day numero uno:

It's a little dark, but I used to be able to put three fingers between each rib. I could also count her vertabra.

And this is her in the "pasture" at the ghetto ass place I was at before

And these were taken the day we left.

I have a thing for horse butts...

Anyways. I think she's come along way. Her mane and tail even feel better. We'll be riding for the first time tomorrow and I'll have an audience. I'm very nervous, but I owe it to her. She's my babe.

Tell me what y'all think! She needs alot more muscle. And she'll gain alot more muscle once we start riding and hitting the trails.

Nice job! Her coat looks sleek and shiny also. Do be careful with riding. Take it slow and let her tell you how much she can handle. What a sweet mare....

Thanks Aj! I'm not planning on doing anything huge or major. Just a little bit of mosing around, see what she knows. Only a few minutes. We'll work up to it. We have a life time, no pressure =) She's a strong little thing if she can kick three inch dent in my trailer the size of a huge pancake at the weight she was at, and with twenty minute lunges every other day, it shouldn't take long before we can start working on the trail course in the big arena. I'm planning that at the end of September judging on how she goes XD

Wow, she looks so much better. Needs more muscle like you said but that will come in time with work. Great job and keep it up.

Thanks! I'm very proud of how far she's come along. I've never had to put weight on a skinny horse before. It's been a good experience for me AND her. ;) I'll keep y'all updated with the muscling. I think she could use maybe a little bit more weight, but Im really not sure. I think it's mostly muscle now that she needs.
