    I noticed that about the saddle as well, could just be me but it looks to be to far foreword to my eyes as well. P.S gorgeous horse!

    I don't mean to throw a spanner in the works but I'm surprised to see a self-taught rider using a double-bridle. I was under the impression doubles are reserved for only more experienced riders.

    I'd just like to clarify - I'm not saying you're not an experienced rider, and I'm certainly not trying to be rude. Perhaps I've misconstrued your first post, but how are you to know how to use this piece of tack correctly if you've never had a lesson?

    ^^It looks to be a pelham from the pictures (rather than a double), although pelhams also require a level of finesse to be used correctly.
