Critique 26 1/2 y/o Arab please :)

This is Starkon. He is a 26 1/2 y/o Arabian gelding sired by Ana Baskon and out of Garnish. I got him when he was 20 and we did 4-H for 4 years and NBHA for 2 years as well. He has recurrent uveitis and fractured his RH sesamoid in winter 2006 but after several lamenes exams in the past 3 years has been proven sound. He gets ridden 3 plus times a week depending on weather and on trail rides we ride for 2 miles at the least at a working trot/canter. He has done everything from western pleasure to eventing to barrel racing and reining. Be as harsh as you want and I can get more pictures if you want.

I'm on mobile so I can't critique right now, but he's gorgeous! I'm a sucker for black arabs :)

I love this horse!!!! Only thing I will fault him on is his long back, not very characteristic of the Arabian breed. Other than being nitpicky about other minor things, I will just say, he is beautiful and enjoy him.

I think the fact that he is still going well at his age says that his conformation works for matter what anyone says :).
He looks wonderful! I have a few oldies that still do work in my barn also and I just love them.

He is a beautiful old guy! Sometimes, especially when dealing with greenies a lot, it is a blessing to have a "golden oldie" to work with. It is great that you still ride and condition him, a factor that I bet overall is great for his well being.

Ditto that. He is 26-1/2 and has more than earned the right to not be faulted for anything in this life.

I have a 25-1/2 yo Arab whom I rescued 18+ years ago starving and injured. He has some physical flaws because of that but his heart is very gentle - he has never bit, kicked, reared, or bucked - THAT to me is flawless.

Enjoy your 26-1/2 yo for who he is
