    Critique: 6 y/o warmblood gelding

    Hi everybody,
As some of you may know I am looking for a horse that can go higher in levels, jumping wise. I would love to be a great hunter/jumper rider one day and I want to get working on my goal. I found this guy and I really liked him. Please critique him.
Here is Jethro, a 6 y/o warmblood gelding.

    GORGEOUS EVENTING/DRESSAGE PROSPECT - Jethro
If my trainer likes him, I do plan on emailing the owner with questions, concerns, ect. If you have any questions about him that you think I should ask the owner just tell me and I would love to ask!
    Thank you for looking.
Also: in the youtube video it is the riders first time riding him, BTW.

I could only see the second ad.

I am not overly impressed with his form over fences in the one photo they showed.
He twists his body and his knees are not even.

He is a pretty color, other than that.....

But yeah, I noticed his knees, lots of bounces and grids for him maybe? Oh I guess I didnt really notice that his body was twisted. Thanks for pointing that out!

In my opinion there are better horses out there in your price range. He could be good with some work but looks heavy on the front end and like the previous poster said I am not in love with his form over the jump.

That is a rotational fall waiting to happen unless his knees get quicker and tighter. Love how the first fence she does is the oxer - backwards. Yikes. Not that we all haven't done that once, but this is a sale video! Anyways.. The horse is allowed to bolt towards the oxer both times I watched him jump it. He has no clue where the base is. What kind of WB is he advertised as?

Just a WB, so obvi i'd have to ask her what kind. I was wondering that myself. But I noticed the backward oxer as well, yikes is right. Thank you JDI!

Congrats on looknig for a new horse! :) Always an exciting thing haha.

The first horse you posted...I am not a fan. He moves below average, there's no impulsion coming from his back end and he really doesn't jump that well at all. He hoenstly looks more of a school pony to me. The pictures of him are nice, but his bland movement and jump are deciding factors for me. I'd pass.
Btw, I love how everyone classifies their horse as a "warmblood". I'm guessing this guy is a paint/tb/draft cross and they just decided he looks enough like a warmblood to classify him as that. Because he moves nothing like a warmblood does haha.

Second guy I'm not too fond of either. He looks very unproportionate to me, front end is huge and he has a teeny back end. Just for that alone, I'd pass as well. Jumping requires huge hindquarter impulsion and this guy looks like he just doesn't have it. He's cute, but not worth your money. :)
