    Critique AQHA Mare

Please Critique our QH mare. Positives? Negatives? She is in foal to our APHA stallion (in my avatar). She has awesome bloodlines, a great personality, she is a pretty nice trail/lesson horse, and she has a pretty nice look overall in my opinion, but I would love input on the specifics.

We are looking to show her lightly, I am curious how she might do.

This photo was right after she arrived at our place. She was a little low on weight, and had just been weaned from her foal.

I see absolutely nothing to critique about her. Lol! Just wondering, how tall is she? And is she a foundation or not?

She is 15HH. I am not sure if she is foundation. She has all QH at least 3 or 4 gens back, but I would have to look into it closer to know for sure. Isn't foundation 6 gens of QH/no TB? Why do you ask? :)

    Any other feedback on her??

Really nice. She has little feet, but a lot of Quarter Horses do.

I was just curious. My qh looks very much like yours (she's foundation). As for smaller feet... I talked to my farrier (after reading all that foundation horses have too small feet), and he said she has good size feet for her height (she's 14'3'' and still has some grow to go).

She looks very nice! The only negative comment I would have is she may be just a little long backed, although I would have to see her in person to really tell. Otherwise she looks very proportional, a like her hip and she has a kind face.

She is a little long in the back. I were being really nit-picky, her shoulder could be a bit better, she could have a bit more bone, etc...but its nothing major, just small variations off the ideal. So overall, a nice mare:P

Thanks for the critiques and compliments about her. I am hoping she will throw a nice foal this spring :)
