Yes Kayty, the dreaded 2 point seat, best exercise evah! Easiest done at the trot, *hint, keep the heels down & toes pointed out. This will elongate ur calf muscles, gets ur legs in the correct position and will burn off calories, because ur using the largest muscles in ur body, your leg muscles. Do this exercise every time you ride for about 10 minutes, at the trot.

Green Broke
It will be good to see more photos from you OP.

Kayty - I have been doing that exercise a bit lately, I find I tend to lean forward a bit sometimes but it definitely helps. Where you said do it at a halt I'm not sure it's quite the same but I have been doing that at work on the tractor. I stand on the step on the side and sink my weight into my heels and it's awesome how much it stabilizes you. Being on the tractor can be a very bumpy ride but doing that I barely move. My calves can really burn after awhile, though the more I do it the less it burns. It has also helped me immensely when I come to doing it while riding.

Glad to hear that the exercise helped you apache :) It's a fantastic exercise for any level of rider. I still throw it in on occasion particularly if I've been riding green horses quite a bit, as your position tends to come unstuck after a while. Usually I just get my coach to put me on the lunge again and I'll do it with no reins as well.
Bloody brilliant exercise!
