The search is over, thank god. I didn't post a critique before I finally got my new horse because it was kind of a quick 'pick up and get him' (we had a good trial beforehand, but the seller then backed out before changing her mind again.
I don't have any confo pictures, these aren't mind- they were pulled off of the ad.
He has been jumped with a rider to 4 feet, free jumped to five- the fence behind him in all of the arena photos is a good 6.5 feet, for reference. He over jumps a little, but he's incredibly honest- my coach got on him and set him up long and short and he always went right over. Conformationally what I noticed is that he has a long back, but with maintenance should he get sore I don't think it'd be a problem, it doesn't seem to bother his ability too much.
What do you think about his form? Anything that needs to be improved with grid work? His knees look a bit uneven in some of them, but I like his tuck for the sake of cross country.
I'm curious to know what breed you think he is? Just for fun.
