This is the little pinto pony we rescued. And lately he is really starting to pick up weight. I think we finally hit the right feed combo for him! So let's hear his critique. And also what do you think his pinto pattern is?
Here he is when we first went to see him. About 2 weeks before we finally rescued him out of this place.

And here is about a week or so after we had him.

And here he is now. And critique away! And also the spot right there at his hip. Looks roany if that helps with his pattern. You can't realyl tell in the confo pics because he is all wet from a bath. And while we are at it any guesses on breed(s)?? He's about 13.2 hh's if that helps any lol

Thanks! And yeah the black spot on his back makes it look like he's downhill when you take a quick glance. The main thing I notice is that he toes out pretty badly in the back end. And I believe my mom also said that he's for sale now. Since the kids have out grown him. He's 3 years old and rides well with a young rider as long as they have confidence to show him they he has to do what they want. Not what he wants.

You guys are doing GREAT with him! He's in a much better home now...

Pattern wise, he is a piebald tovero, very cute. :)

Conformation wise, he's pretty balanced proportionately except for his hip. He has a rather small hip and a shorter neck. He has nice tight legs, though slightly over at the knee in the front, and camped out in the back. He has longer pasterns that I'd personally like, but it will make for a nice smooth rider if you choose to ride him. You'll just have to watch for any heat in his legs because his tendons are going to be more stressed than a horse with shorter pasterns would have. He has a short, strong top line and when he gains weight and can start working, should have a nice underline as well. :)

Over all, he's a major cutie and you guys should be very proud of the work you have done with him already! It's a major improvement! Have fun with him!!

Wow! That's a huge difference. I though he has roached(?) back at first, but after looking at your last pics he definitely was just very thin. He looks like he toe out on both - front and back, but he's very adorable. Kudos to you on taking him in and doing such a great job on him!

He is and he's a great kid's pony too and he does have pony attitude but his good days make up for it! He's also grown quite a bit since the first pictures as well!
