Here are a pic of me and my horse practicing and I just want some feedback on what you though. This was a day or so after our first lesson.
He is a thirteen year old paint who was just a trail horse before we started training so maybe look a little at his form. Just click on the picture and it will bring you to a video
It's hard to tell due to the quality etc, but my first impression is that your stirrups look too short, and that your legs might be a little far back as a result.
Agreed - there really isn't much to be seen/said from this photo, unfortunately. I would suggest having the photographer go back out with you and take several shots of you at various stages of a ride using more zoom so as to give a clearer image of you and the horse vs. the surroundings -- a video would be even better if possible.
I think the strrups are a tiny bit too short. YOu look very comfortable and happy on the hrose. If you can get more weigh down into your heel, through the stirrup, you will find posting easier.
That round pen is pretty small for a trot. Is he safe to ride outsid of the round pen? Or is this just your 2nd time on a horse, any horse?
