Red face Critique my boy and I!

These pics are from the show last month :) Don't be to harsh on me, hadn't ridden him in a very long time.
I am overjumping SO much in all these pics. But I know that I do that.. and we are working on it ;)

Other than your piano hands, and the over jumping, I don't see anything else....

You look good! Heels down and don't pibch your knee, that will help with over jumping. It also looks like your feet are too far in the stirrups over the jump. But I like how you are looking up, straight back, and lovely crest release. On the flat, watch those piano hands! remember thumbs on top, like you are playing a video game:-D

And that horse has the cutest jump! lovely tight knees, alert expression, fairly nice rounding considering he doesn't need to jump much over these. He is a keeper for sure!

Well, you already mentioned the over jumping part. Besides that, you are breaking your wrists over the jump. Try and keep your arm from your elbow to hand as straight as possible. You need more heel depth and need to put your toes forward. It also appears that your legs don't stay in the same position. One leg creeps back farther than the other. I also slightly have this problem so don't feel bad. One other thing to mention is your helmet. It gives the impression that you're looking down because of the visor part of it. It also looks like you can't see where you're going. Might want to look into getting a different one. But I do think you are doing a great job of always looking up where you want to be going and you are keeping your shoulders back. :)

Oh, I can definately see where I'm going. :) My helmet is just really, really unphotogenic. :)
As for the leg thing.. my stirrups wereuneven. The only land outside of the ring is hilly, so I had to adjust my stirrups on a hill. :P Once we got into the ring there wasn't much time to mess with them.
Thanks everybody
1d3c17r- Thanks!! He is a really, really amazing horse. I am in love with him. :)

HAHAHA!!! I call them Pram hands, because that is the way you push a pram with a baby in it!!! But I do have to disagree with you, She needs to put her heels down!!

And don't worry about OVER jumping, I do it cause my horse jumps bigger than I expect sometimes, sooooo I pretty much always over jump them Just in case he jumps TOO BIG!!!

You do look good on him!! HE is Gorgeous!

If you are having trouble remembering "thumbs up", try riding with a thin crop under your thumbs. It forces you to keep your hands from turning down.
