Critique My Gelding

So, we are points away from a ROM in halter.. and it seems that we just can't get them as fast as I thought (wishful thinking I know)

So as this being a critique section... I know I can't change my horses conformation and he is what he is. I know he is not a huge halter horse with muscles by the millions.. So beyond those facts..Critique away please!

The last photo of his butt was taken about 3 years ago..

HIs coloration is just exquisite. He has many good points and I bet you do well in halter. One thing is that his front legs are kind of lightly boned for the size of his body.

I think he is about as good as he can be. You do a great job of presenting him. He has nice conformation although maybe a bit high between the eyes when profiled. He has a nice hip, great slope, clean legs, maybe a tiche over at the knees and a slight crest. (could be pics as some he looks a bit over, others he doesnt). Love his color too. You have done a wonderful job fitting him up since you have purchased him. Huge improvements. Love the 3rd pic down of you and him, he is bright eyed, and ears forward.

The thing I love most about this horse is his expression. He looks like a joy to be around.

There is something weird about his shoulder, but I can't figure it out ...

This boy is better looking than 99% of today's stallions. Very good job with him!

I love his head, he has a nice neck, He appears a little steep in the shoulder to me... But it might be a bit of an illusion. He has a nice open shoulder angle. He does seem a bit over in the knee as well. He is a little downhill in balance but much better than so many QH's around. In his recent side shot he has a really nice topline on him, a good loin, fairly strong L-S placement, I like his hindquarter construction, I LOVE that he is not extremely straight behind as so many halter horses seem to be.

Overall I really like him.

He is light boned, slightly downhill, perhaps buck-kneed, straighter shoulder. But overall quite a nice horse.

He's also a little post-legged, but most halter horses are.
