Critique my jumping (:

First video: Me on my friend's OTTB jumping 3'3" for the first time. I think I know what I did wrong, legs moved back, arched my back, didn't put my hands forward enough and dropped them down her neck.

(sorry if you have to copy and paste the video)

Second video: Me on the same horse, jumping 2'6"

Third video: not sure of the height. Same horse. I know I look horrible in that one. Leaning WAY too far forward.

The first one isn't the 3'3 jump, I didn't put those on youtube, they are only on facebook right now. I'll upload them and then post them after I put Quinton to bed.

It's not? O.o Thanks for telling me!
Now that I look again, it's definitely too small for 3'3"

One thing I really notice is that you seem to just throw your body at the fence and kind of bail last minute, you are lucky you have honest horses to jump, if one had stopped you could easily fall with your body that far forward. Also in the last video you sat back a little soon, which can be related to the jumping ahead. Overall your leg seemed functional but try to sink a little more into the heel and keep your leg better under you. I really liked how well you kept your eyes up, I have trouble with that one good job!

What does that mean? Are you talking about before the jump? Cause I REALLY try to wait until I feel the horse taking off and then 2point. I'm ahead of the horse I guess and then give up? Like...
Um do you mean I'm not riding to the jump?

Like if you watch the very last video a stride out you push your hands up the neck and go into your jump position instead of waiting and keeping contact.

Hmm.. maybe it was that I had never jumped that high and I was nervous or anticipating or something.
I'll definitely try to stay more with the horse (:
I really need to be told how to jump. I"ve only take three jump lessons in my 11 years of riding, so it's pretty confusing
