Interesting looking horse. Very eye catching. I know you said ignore the rider, but I want to point out the rider has a chair seat.

You just have to see your distance...you don't have to like it.

Yeah, I do apologize, but I had a hard time ignoring the rider to see only the horse. Would have been fun if it was moving video, 'stead of just stills. Cute coloration.

Thanks. What do you mean by chair seat? Please nobody else comment on the rider as I did not ask for critique on me as I have a trainer for that.

A chair seat is when the rider's legs are out in front of the rest of the body instead of being lined up under the hips in proper balance. The imbalance often affects the way the horse moves since it is hindered by the rider's weight being constantly shifted back.

You just have to see your distance...you don't have to like it.

Okay. Well I don't do that at all anymore, plus one of the reasons I did that was because she is so forward moving and it was only my second time riding her (because my other horse hurt its back, she wasnt mine at this time) and I found it easier to do this to help me gain control. Also she slows down to the amount of weight you put in the stirrups and I was constantly doing this to try and slow her down because she is a fox hunter and the show was right next to where we fox hunt. But since riding her more I have found a way to do this with out pushing my legs forward.

Absolutely beautiful mare! That's some crazy shine for a clipped horse, whatever you're feeding her keep it up!

Overall she's a very elegant looking mare. She's got a really high head carriage which you could try and improve by lunging with side reins, it would help her develop a nicer topline and you'd benefit from it as well. Her movement would improve 100% and she'd be a much more comfortable ride.

Hunterchick,

So sorry that we overstepped the bounds of the "horse critique" forum. Mea Culpa! My bad!

Thanks! I'll give the credit to my trainer for the feed! I recently changed the bit so her top line has become slightly nicer, because she was fighting the bit, but will try side reins :)
