Critique my OTTB

Hi Guys this is my monster thoroughbred Rocky' he's been of the track for twelve months now and have been doing road work and general desensitzing with him so that he's completley in the write head space for his next career. He's 8 years old and 18hh. He's come a long way since the day I picked him up a very different horse now and I have advertised him for sale this week!

18. Hands! Jeez! Lol beautiful, hope he goes to the best of homes.

He looks calm, but is still a ways away from accepting contact. He's evading contact and dropping his base of neck rather than lifting. Now that you've got him in a better head space, it's time to ask him to be forward, then give him a place to go and trust that the work you've laid so far will hold up to the test.

Looks on the thinner side as most tbs.
How tall are you? If he was 18 hands your stirrups wouldent be at his belly. He looks more like 16.3 maybe 17 hands to me. Comming from someone who actually has an 18 hand tb lol im 5'7 and my stirrups are not anywhere near her belly line like yours and I don't ride in short stirrups. Im jw is all. True 18 hand tbs are just about non exsistant .

Whats his race name?

I also think 18hh is stretching it.

Lol im Six foot tall or 182cm any way you like it! That's what he measures at eighteen hands on concrete surface with a proper measure stick.

I think he is very TB looking, he would make someone a good jumping horse. If you lived closer I would look at him :)

If you're 6 feet tall, I'd believe you saying he's 18hh or close're riding with a very long stirrup in a dressage saddle. Looks like you've got a good start on him, would be interested in seeing him through the summer! Keep up the good work!
