    Red face Critique please

Hi there so firstly I'd like to apologise for the annoying effects in the video, I used an online website which selects random clips from videos you upload- as you can tell I'm new to this.

Anyway, I started doing weekly lessons last term (I had 8 lessons) on the chestnut with a white blaze that you can see in the video. This term I changed horses to the bay in the video called Beau, who I am loving. So last lesson I had my first go of cantering more than a couple of strides and my first group canter which was a tonne of fun

I've watched the videos and I think I have a good idea of the list of things I need to work on But I'd like to hear what you have to say, and also some tips on how to fix. Also feel free to dumb things down for me

Here it is, critique away thank you!

I think this link will work: Magisto Video | Horse riding lesson 14/9/13

You are doing good. Your stirrups are one hole too short and bring your hips and legs further back to use your seat bones more effectively. Otherwise, you just keep riding and practising, looks like you are enjoying it, that's the best part and makes it enjoyable to watch. Thanks for posting.

Thank you, I'll try that next week!
I forgot to put my stirrups back down after we did a few jumps haha.

Honestly, you are right where you should be expected to be at this point in your riding journey. With more canter time you'll learn how better to relax in the hips and allow the horse to move you. Then you'll wok on having more soft flexion in the elbows so you can fllow the horses mouth more evenly and smoothly. I don't suppose you could swing a private lesson, or a longe line lesson?

Thank you! I have a bit of money saved up and holidays are approaching so if all goes to plan I'll hopefully do a private lesson/longe soon :)
