Critique Potential Buys

So it's probably to early for me to be looking at horses but I can't help myself :P .
Here are some that I have found in my price range and I think would have potential to to the disciplines that I want to do. Which are reining, cutting, competitive trail and maybe some team penning.

Peppy San/Doc OLena/Tivio/Leo Jet FANTASTIC ALL AROUND MARE | Buy this Horse at
I like this one's confo for some reason. I guess cause nothing bad really sticks out at me besides that she could use some more muscling. She's also only about an hour drive from here which is nice.

AQHA Trail or western pleasure mare | Buy this Horse at
She has a huge throat latch but I didn't rule her out because I wasn't sure how that effects the horse?

Charmers Beauty - Grey Quarter Horse for Sale in Summer Hill, Illinois IL - FREE Ads
Not good confo pictures but she sounds like a good prospect.

Leo's Little Hannah - New Lower Price! - Chestnut Quarter Horse for Sale in Oxly, Missouri MO - FREE Ads
I can't decide if I really like this horse or really don't. I think I like her confo but then I look at her again and she looks pudgy She's also about $500 above my price range but my dad might pitch in some money to help...not sure.

So tell me what you think!

So, I'm not an expert, but I really like the last one the best. She seems to have decent conformation from what I can see. solid legs, cute face, and nice angle to her hip and shoulder.
The first one seems to have a longish, sort of flat back, and it might be the way she is standing, but she looks a little cow-hocked.
The second one is long-backed and her hip seems too small for her well-built front end. Her hind legs are weak compared to her front. She has a cute face, but her eyes seem a little small. (I like big eyes) :)
The third one is really hard to judge because there aren't any close up or conformation shots. I do like her color though!

Hope that was semi-helpful! :)

Yeah, I was looking at the first one after I posted on here and noticed that she did have quite flat back. If the last one is still available once I've saved up enough money I guess I'll have to convince my dad to drive the three hours to see her :P.

My two favorite at the last two. The first one is alright too, I just stray away from horses they have no saddle on in their pictures and the only pictures they have of here or ones after being washed? Weird to me. She was pretty nice conformation wise though. I don't know much on bloodlines or anything so I can't help you with that but I really liked the last two because they are all around horses. They are good ages for a horse and they have great conformation from the photos. I would definitely go look at those two and they are generally gorgeous.
The reason I don't like the second one is again is the no saddle. She has a great color but a HUGE neck which really makes me think that she is a halter horse and hasn't had a lot of under saddle training in anything. Probably, in general trails or something but I don't think she would be good for what you are looking for.

Thanks! Yeah, if there still for sale I am going to check out the last two when the time comes and maybe swing around to just see the first one as well. I was thinking it was strange too that all they have is pictures of her washed. I may request videos of the last two and I will put them up on here as well.
The third one is out of the running now, I agree if what you said.

Yeah with that neck and everything she looks definite halter horse. She could actually be positive for HYPP which isn't really something that is great especially in the disciplines you want. She could have complications down the road with lameness and things like that. Can't wait to see which one you choose.

I like the second & last one. You have to take into consideration age, if you want to preform at that speedy disciplines. 16 just seems a little old for that (gray mare). Te first mare looked really round and i just didn't like the look of her.

They all seem sort of pudgey, though.

Haha, I know right. I'm not to concerned about pudginess though because that's fixable. I probably won't be able to afford a horse until late summer so there will probably be other options by then that I will post on here. If she is still available I will goo look at the last one because that is what everyone seems to like. :)
