Critique Trigger

Hes a 21 year old QH gelding. He was used for barrel racing, calf roping and reining. He acts like hes 10, body is in good condition. Critique him for me I'm looking to buy him. He does ride english too. Hes a trail horse manily but with A LOT of go in him.

He looks like a nice solid trail horse! I'm sure he would look great in the show ring too.

There is a good chance of arthitis in his joints from his previous high octane careers, but that can usually be maintained by supplements and possible prescription medications from your vet. He looks like he has many good riding years left in him.

^ That's what I was thinking.
For fun and trails I don't see why not. Try him out, and definitely get a vet check.

The footing look ok from the pics, but I have to agree there's something off about his trot in that video. It's only a couple seconds long though...could've just picked up a rock. I would either ask for a longer video or go try him yourself, but after seeing that vid, considering his age, and his work history, I would DEFINITELY get a vet check!

For him doing barrel racing and the disiplines where he does sharp truns, and going fast he does have a high change of getting arthritis a few years on. Most barrel, and jumping horses do. I would buy a younger horse english_rider,
