Cute horse! Not bad for a 3rd lesson! Looks like he is a gentle guy. Her stirrups look a bit short to me, I think she'll be a little more comfortable if she drops them down a hole, maybe even two. Shoulders back and look up! Cute pair!

    Hi there,

Just like farmpony said get her to drop her stirrups I would say 2 holes. Letting her legs go longer will also help with her position, But for a third ride she looks verry comfortable up there :)

Thanks FP I sit back and just watch so that I can correct her at home I will try dropping the stirrups and see if she sinks her heels a bit more. Her trainer is trying to get her to post of the correct diagonal so she keeps looking down at the horses shoulder. Thank you for your critque

Thanks Sketter. Do you think they fit well together? Their first schooling show is on the 13th of this month.

    Hey Bloodhoundmom28.
I think they look good together. Ok! First things first, let her know to drop her stirrups a 1-2 holes for more comfort in the leg and to drop her heel down. Look up and thumbs up. She also needs to lift up her hands up a bit they look like puppy dog hands in her lap.

It also looks to me like in the pics that the saddle is way to small for her.

The saddle is a 16" and fits fine I think it is the color and the pics. I will talk to the trainer about the stirrups though. Her hands can use work and so could her heels in my op I think that in time she will get it that or I will turn blue from all talking about what to do or not to do. I try not to get in the way of the trainer cause Jaq listens to her better. Thank you for your input I hope to show her what you guys say so it re enforces what she needs to work on.

The saddle does certainly look to small, not necessarily in the seat (although she should fit a full hand behind her bum on the saddle, but certainly in the flap length. Lengthening her stirrups will help her upper body position but will make the flaps of the saddle even smaller and he knees will not fit correctly with the knee pads/rolls on the saddle.
If she is having trouble with getting her diagonals try having her sitting to the trot and learn to feel her diagonals, I never encourage one to look down for it as that encourages poor upper body position as will offset rider and horse falling on the front.
If you'd like to pm link to video I would be happy to watch and critique :)
