So, I imported a hanoverian last winter by Cheenook who is suppose to eventually be a resale prospect. I'm interested in what you guys think he's worth now, though I'm not planning on selling him for a while. He's a 5 year old hanoverian gelding imported from Germany. He is currently standing at 15.2 1/2 hh (and growing).
He's very easy to handle and loves people. Trailers, cross-ties, clips, bathes ect. Is currently showing in the A/A hunter with me and 1st year pre-greens with a professional with multiple champions and reserves at rated shows. He's has also been champion in many jumper classes and can switch from jumper to hunters at the same show. Very careful over the jumps and never refuses (will jump from any distance). Super easy and correct on the flat, with a nice, naturally low headset; always places well in the hack. Super easy and comfortable to ride and has a nice soft jump with a stride perfectly suited for the 3' or 3'6" hunters, but will put effort even into the smallest of jumps. Very responsive and adjustable and could easily be used as an eq horse. Does his lead changes if balanced and asked, but it not currently doing them auto. Would be perfect for child that wants to move off a pony and eventually move on to the junior hunters or as a A/A or A/O hunter. We've schooled him up to about 4', which he does easily, but because of his age we tend to keep the jumps much lower. He's currently in a D-ring snaffle for hunters and a figure 8 with a happy mouth snaffle in the jumpers.
