The top picture is the newest. She turned Four on June 1st! She is an awesome trail horse and very fast when learning new things. What do you think about her conformation? Bred to work cows; we wanna rein and cut. Does she look like a good cutting/reining horse. Probably 15hh by now, and yes she is fat, been on pasture. Wht do you think about her legs?
Looks like she has pretty straight legs, I don't see anything that would disable her. Give reining a go! Just start out slow and see how it goes. I've always found if you learn the techniques of reining (ex. Turn on the for hand, back, spin, roll back...so on) It makes it alot quicker and easier to teach cutting.
EDIT- Looking at the top pic again her butt does look a little bit high (could be the way she is standing or just me) Could cause difficulty in a silde stop though.Possibly a bit sickle hocked but again I may be being picky although some reiners prefer sickle hocked horses as some believe it gives an easier slide, not sure myself.
