I must say VERY smart move starting with cross rails when you're already schooling much higher. The added confidence of knowing you both can easily do it is a great advantage. I personally like that you're not doing anymore than you need to. You've got a great rhythm, stride to the fences and a relaxed horse. The two of you are in tune with each other which is very important. As you move up, the only I would add is getting him a little more round and collected so he can use himself well over larger fences. I'd also love to see some schooling videos over the bigger stuff. Great job! Florida must be nice this time of year. It's 30 degrees up here today!

Thanks for the comments! I will def take some more schooling video at higher fences. We are really working on our flying changes right now. He gives me the left, since he was off the track, but the right is a diffrent story at the moment. I don't want to continue to ask for more than 5 strides, I then just do a simple change. Any suggestions?
By the way YES! The weather here is 82. Its crazy how warm it is. I do enjoy this temp. We can ride year round with no probloms. When summer is here though it way too HOT and I don't feel like riding at all.

    Congrats!

Look at those gorgeous corners! You nicely used the ENTIRE arena and kept the same tempo thru your entire course! Great course!

Congrats on your great placings! Good for you for taking it slow, it will pay off in the long run and build confidence in the both of you and in your riding bond.

    Congrats again!

Awesome job! Thanks so much for posting this. At 31, I feel a little funny sometimes trying to get back into this, and even thinking I can get back into shows next year. You two look fantastic!
