Smile Gymnastics

So the other day I finally found someone who could video tape me - I got on my horse to bop around and got this. You can critique if you like :] (i know i got a little chair seaty but thats about it)
My horse is a 16 yr old OTTB and hes improved big time since I got him - still working on his head set. Its there on the flat but disappears when we start jumping hehe

Here you are...

All you have to do it just copy and paste the URL.

You can never take a Thoroughbred away from a horse crazy girl.

I think your instructor set the one stride too short. The horse took an average stride and barely had room to take off. Do you know how many feet it was set at?

Im not sure how many feet it was - he has a huge size so its hard for me to set them [i dont have a trainer]. In that video he shoved it in, but others he did it comfortably; it may have been too short, but I do gymnastics a lot to get him to figure out how he needs to set himself up and it has helped him gain a lot of confidence.

He could have dumped you and not jumped the last one because the stride was too short. You can count how many feet a jump is apart by just walking it. I use my foot length to measure.

Ya i normally take like the biggest step i can like 4 times or something like that lol but hes pretty honest - when hes gonna go he goes, if hes gonna chicken out he lets me know. I have had him for 4 years and he hasnt thrown me (knock on wood) haha :]
I dont know why on that video he pretty much like chipped cause i remember he kinda just went for it but the others he was okay.

(sorry for the goofing off before & after lol we were all being goofy at the barn that day)

That was great, but less rein contact when you stop and more seat.
