    Has his condition improved?

Here are some photos of Red, a horse that I exercise for his owners. I don't ride him as often as I like. I'm usually only able to ride him 1-2 times per week. The top photo is from December 2009 (please excuse the flies, it was before I groomed him) and the bottom photo is from April 2010. Before I began riding Red, he was basically just a pasture puff occasionally brought out for pony rides.
I'd like to know if his condition seems improved as well as any conformational faults that stand out. He is an unregistered QH gelding that is in his early twenties.

Hes definitely put on some muscle, especially in his chest. He looks good for a 20 something year old. He looks a tiny bit over at the knee and a bit sickle hocked. Does he always stand so wide in the back or was he just standing funky in that last pic?

His condition looks better! Nice looking guy. He looks sickle hocked (stands out behind).

Thanks! How does being over at the knee and having sickle hocks affect his movement?

He was standing funky. I kept moving him over to try and get him to stand squarely, but this was the best I could do. =P

I wouldn't think that it would effect his movement very much. I have a few sickle hocked horses and I don't notice it affecting the way he moves (besides of course, that they run/walk standing out behind). But, I'm not an expert on riding horses with sickle hocks/over at the knees. Maybe someone else can chime in.

    ^ Thank you. :)

Anyone else have some input? It'd be appreciated!

Not sure about sickle-hocks and motion, but I definitely see the added muscle!!
