How do I stop my leg from slipping and jumping ahead??

I've always had a problem with jumping ahead, which then makes me left behind at the landing, and my leg slipping (as well as turning out my toes). Anybody have any advice or exercises that I can do to fix my problem?

See those stirrups on your saddle? Get rid of them...riding without stirrups will really help strengthen your legs. Ride at the posting trot without stirrups for about 5 minutes every time you ride it will do wonders for your legs. If you can't do 5 minutes right away, build yourself up. Do 2 minutes for a few days, then three minutes, and so on. Also practicing your 2-point at the walk, trot, and canter will help.

Okay, thanks! Two years ago when I did mostly dressage, my leg was completely still and my toes didn't point out cause of riding without stirrups but I ruined it haha...
