Default How Much To Ask?

I have been asked to make ads and oversee the sale of this pony.

Her name is Bella. She is 5yo, buckskin Hackney(?) pony around 12.1hh. She is greenbroke.. ties, bathes, and lunges well. She is a little pushy on the ground. She has been ridden on trail and ring, and was apparently taught to drive. She has been to shows, and acted the same as she does at home. Not spooky.

How much would you ask for her? We'd like more than $500, but..

Sorry for the bad confo shots.. I'll get more Sunday-- on flat ground!

What the market is like in your area will make a difference in what the pony will bring. Knowing, not guessing, what he does is important.

OMG She's an absolute doll! I'd look at other ponies for sale in your area. You may want to catch a few videos of her. That helps sell.

Use a picture with someone actually riding her, you'll get more money if the pictures show you can actually use the horse.

I've seen some smaller ponies go from $400-$1000 I think I'll just put $650 on her ad, and see where that goes. We got her for $380 at the auction, so anything over $450 or so would be nice, just because we put money into her feet, vet bills, etc.

We do have pictures from the show with my instructor's daughter on her, in a little English saddle. Bella has a really nice personality.. she loves people and getting attention. She just needs a little more training.

I paid $600 for my boys pony (ended up getting a 2 for 1 deal as she was pregnant but didn't know at the time). She is about the same size as your little girl.

i would say the only problem if she does need more training it could be hard to sell her. Because my boys pony has had so much time off with the foal she needs some tuning up. Because she is so small I am to big to ride her ( she can only carry a max of about 125 lbs) So there is no one that can do that as my boys are beginner riders.

Thankfully one of my nursing instructors daughter is a tiny 13 year old and has lots of riding experience and is going to start riding her for me a couple of times a week (paid of course).

Good luck selling her she is a cutie!

I think that you could get a bit more for her. Up here in BC, people ask anywhere from $1000-$2000 for a pony like this :)
Good luck! Shes a cutie!

In the states though prices are super low. I have a friend that bought a reg QH with 60 days training and great bloodlines for $650. Market just sucks right now.
