How much is he worth?

Not sure if this is the most appropriate section, if not feel free to move it or whatever.

I've just been wondering lately how much Shad is worth..
So, what do you think?
There are photos of him in my barn, and a bit of info here
Thinking about leasing out my horse

If theres anything else you need to know just ask.
I also have some videos if anyone would like to see them.

I wish I could help you out, but I really don't know much about how much horses are worth anymore these days. I will say he is a beautiful horse. I wish you luck on your decision.

How old is he? I'm guessing he is studbook registered, not 1st cross or anything?

Is he quiet enough for a kid to ride?

If you brush up his working skills (Haunch turns, rollbacks, galloping, stops, and whipcracking) and get him on cattle a few more times and he is kid safe - You will get a lot as long as he isn't super old. I would say around $7000.

He's 15, 16 in november. His sire was a TB but he has full rego.

He'd be quiet enough for a kid to ride as long as they have some confidence. He's got fairly big movement, scares my sister a bit but as I said, if they have some confidence about them.
He can get a little strong at times out on trails and such, so not for a younger child.

He's not cowy at all, so that's a bit of a downfall. I guess that's his TB side coming through...
Though he stops fairly well, needs some stock whip/turns practice.

Thanks for the reply. Im quite surprised at what I've been told so far actually, I was thinking MAYBE $4000...

ASH are the flavour of the month right now.

My last horse was a 16h ASH who was VERY strong, very difficult to ride, not really suited to ASH showing as he got too worked up, but had jumping talent out the wazoo - I sold him for $6,000 and could have gotten much, much more.
