Here are the pictures I took the other day. She is not photgenic, It's the best I could get. Any critiques? I know her feet are a bit long, and she is a little toe out in the rear in real life. She's a 9yo quarterhorse, about 14.1 hands. summer '10 062.jpg
Thanks! I think something is up with the measureing stick we used. She was measured at 14.3, but the BO just bought a walker/quarter horse cross that was supposed to be 15hh. The walker is so much taller. Maybe the walker was measured wrong?
In the front end she looks to be a tad bit pigion toed on her right side . That's something that could easily be fixed over a few trims , just be sure to let your farrier know :) She is adorable and so well built !
She looks like a nice, solid QH. Her legs look nice and clean, strong, big hooves. She has a very wide chest which makes her rotate her toes/cannon bones in. Her shoulder angle is more upright than desirable, topline is shorter than her bottom line. The muscling on the bottom of her neck is a little more pronounced, does she tend to stick her nose out when you ride? She's in good weight and shape, love her coloring!
She looks like a nice using horse. I would watch that one leg that toes in though to make sure no problems creep up in the future. However, now that you have her on more consistent trimming, that will greatly help.
