Hunter Show Critique!

So me and Robbie had out first (and only) show of the season at the end of August! It went very good overall, the show was huge and there were some big competitors in my classes. Me and Robbie finished with Reserve Champ in our division for the 3'3s but we had to scratch for the last day in the Adult Amaturs because he had a pulled muscle in his back and was not "right" over fences. But I was very proud of him regardless!

Here are the pictures, feel free to critique me and Robbie. :) I know my leg is a bit sketchy at times haha, Robbie was a bit unsure on the grass. Thanks guys!

Haha, I have nooo idea what my hands are doing!

My favorite of the bunch!

Kisses for a good (but tired) pony!

Thanks so much guys! :)

I love your horse! He's gorgeous! He could be tighter with his front end, but overall very very lovely.

*glares at Blush and her awesomeness...then stalks away!*

Honestly, you guys are a cute pair.

Some of the fences look like you have closed your hip angle too much(the last 2 jumps fences). Leg has slid back just a bit.

Were you trying to cheat with wide hands (in the flat) to get him to accept the bit a little better and stretch into it?

Wow he really puts on a show at the right time. Such a difference from the quirky gelding in your last post. He's all business here.

What's with the looking down?

He could be tighter with his front end,
I am baffled by this comment. His forearm is *well* above horizontal and he's nice and tight below the knee. He has pretty close to ideal hunter form.

Unlike a lot of horses showing in the Adult Amateurs, he's also round and scopey. I truly think he might have the potential to do the AOs in a year or two. Lovely horse.

As far as you, in a couple of the photos it looks like you're standing in your iron with a very open knee angle. I'm guessing that you still sometimes have trouble coping with his very round thrusty jump?

Overall lovely presentation of a lovely horse and capable rider.

i think you two look awesome! but a few things i could critique, is that on the flat, your horse looks awesome! a few things you might be able to work on is keeping yur elbows in and against your sides, and then over fences, your horse has very cute jump(in my opinion) and has nice knees. the only thing in your twopoint is that sometimes your leg slides back a bit. to fix this try to practice two-pointing on the flat:) that's it! but you guys really do look good!

I don't have the expertise to critique, but you've got a really cute horse. What breed?
