This my six year OTTB mare, Ari. I'd like an honest critique of horse and rider(I realize the picture angle is not ideal). From what I can tell my leg has slipped back, maybe because of a pinching knee?
From the angle it looks like your knee is pinching, you also need to look up- straight through your horses ears or to the next jump, not down at the ground.
I understand, it is a strange angle. Can you give a critique of the horse at all? Also, I'm looking down as this was our last fence, so no next jump to look to. Thanks!
Hard to see, but your heels look a little up. This will stop your lower leg slipping back Even if it was your last jump, it's important to ride it as if it was the first fence. Just keep looking up & over
Your leg has slipped back, and it does look like it's from you pinching with your knees. If you have trouble with this, practice two-point at the walk and trot and concentrate on opening your knees up and creating more contact with your lower legs. You also seem to be leaning slightly to the side of the fence and looking down. Like HorseyyGal said, it's important to look up and over the fence every time.
As far as I can tell, the horse looks pretty good!
