You and your horse make a very nice team.
You look a tad left behind the motion. Your leg is pushed out in front of you, sending your seat back. In the first pic your foot is too far home in the stirrup, thus stiffening your ankle and preventing your weight from sinking into it. In the other pictures it looks okay. You look tight over fences, but somewhat stiff.
I would lengthen your stirrups a small half hole. The length you are riding in now has you perched atop your horse.
Your back is nice and flat, and parallel to the horses.
You have a nice following release, and I love how you haven't totally thrown away your rein contact. I think an automatic release would benefit both you and your horse. it would strengthen your base by forcing your hands to act independently of your seat, and it would allow your very round jumper to use his head and back even more. On a jumper course, an auto release will give you so much more control and finesse in the air and upon landing- especially crucial for tight jump off turns and roll backs.
Your horse is very cute and round. I think he will use his back even more when given the rein. |
