Jumping Video/1st time on Banks

Hi, I have posted some photos from my jumping journey.

Here is an updated video from this week.

The reason for the break between the tipple bounce and the wall is because my trainer had me slow her down and do a circle in-between, since she gained too much speed to do the wall right after.

For the bank at the end that was the first time we have done that/done any type of xcounty jumps. I wasn't expecting here to jump so big at the end.

is your horse always swishing her tail so much ? she looks unhappy about something, it could just be that she is behind your leg, causing the jump to be somewhat awkward for you and causing you to land on her back as she is landing.

she looks like a good sport ! i would like to see you give her more rein down the banks. this allows her more freedom to move which will make her less likely to leap. shorter rein = higher and longer jump. if she has a loose rein it will allow her to put her head down and see it, as well as tell her she need not jump up and out, just down.

Thanks for the feedback. So glad I made the switch to eventing.

I completely agree with Gypsy on the bank. I'll try letting her go more this weekend.

As for the tail swishing you might be right about me landing on her back. I am not sure if that is the cause of the tail craziness. When she is turned out or lunged, she holds it in the air like an Arab and swishes it a lot.

My mare swishes her tail like a mad man, she is a bit of a skitso, but loves her 'job' so it could just be natural, as you said, in the paddock holds it high and swishes at her free will (same with my mare.)
Tail swishing could be aggravation/irritation too, so maybe check that she isn't sore. (doesn't look it though) (:
