    Talking Jumping Video, critique please

I know its a very short video, my boyfriend got it. This was two weeks before he got moved to my trainers barn on the 15th of October.

I had given him a bit of time off jumping not due from nay injury but a mental break. He's only 5 and doesnt need to be put in front of courses when he's only been under saddle now for 7 months so this is a video of him jumping 2'11 to 3' how ever tall the barrel it plus the poleon top. He had so much fun. I had to really hold him back from just running at it and jumping way bigger then nesserary but he got the hang of it. Don't worry I didnt spend a long time just going over and over and over this high!!

Wanted to know what you think. I know its short but I think when I pause it at the right frames I can see he got to close to the base. (this is as high as he has ever jumped) I only went of it a couple times and he didnt knock it over :)

Iknow we havealot to work on but thoaught your eyes may see more then mine!

Are you jumper hunter or eventer? He has a really forward jump! Does he drag you at the last minute though?

He doesnt drag me, it more like he has the energy but not really impulsion if that mkes sense. My last jumping lesson was great but like 3 strides from the jump he would like die on me and id have to squeeze (close) my legs on him and then hed porperly jump. He loves to jump its just getting him to do it correctly lol

I want to do jumpers with him, he has great turns and can be braught back from being very forward easily, he is so intune with my seat its crazy

In my opinion, I see the jumper ring in him.
I like that he's forward moving and seems pretty brave.
When you pause the vid just at the right spot, you can kinda' see that you're release just isn't quite there. That would be my only real critique. The higher that fence goes, the more he has to give you, the more you have to allow for him to give it... so maybe just a wee bit more of a release.
