Had to share this, this is from a few weeks ago, I recently started jumping lil miss KLassy who isnt that "lil" anymore :)
I have been doing tons of trot pole and caveletti work with in the round pen and only jumped less then 18" is year...twice LOL
Last year just for fun and to see if she liked it we jumped her up to 2'3 twice and she loves it, its her true calling. Id eventually love to do XC with her, but that's not for another 2 years, only doing lots of schooling nad keeping it under 2'6 this whole spring and summer at shows. That is even if we are ready for that when it comes.
I havnt had jumping lessons in years, and she is new to jumping and gets very excited about it. Don't be harsh, more looking for suggtions to help us not negetive on my postion, I know its bad.
We are working on tempo and rythem for going in and comming out, she is very much a rocket right before the jump and after.
The one of her free jumping was the first time she ever went over a jump
The one with the flowers is her first jumping show :)
Oh, your postition isn't that bad! We've all seen much worse!
She looks good! She needs to tighten her knees a smidge, but that can be done with gymnastics. I think you're doing a pretty good job with her!
Agreed on the gridwork for her, she looks cute, just a little loose. The grids will also slow her down a bit.
The main thing I see for you is your release. Your hands are too close to your saddle. It doesn't look like you really move them up any from where your flatwork position would be. But the rest looks good.
