Lovely, obviously well cared for horse, and both of you look well groomed and properly turned out. Kudos!

I try and stay away from criticism of horse and rider unless it is a very obvious point.

In your case, why would I even try and critique you both, a judge has already done that and decided that you both are doing well, so I'm more than happy to agree with the judge

It is a real pleasure to enjoy pics of a beautiful pony, nicely turned out and with a happy and competent rider on board. Congrats all around and thank you for sharing your pics with us.

Wow, thank you! That was one of the better compliments I've heard in awhile. Thank you again!

I think you both make a lovely pair and he looks very willing! And congrats on ribbons (they are definitely well-deserved)!

I'd say he may benefit from little bit more of impulsion (he looks great on some pics, and a little lazy on first 2 or 3). But that would be only critique from me.

Actually didn't notice last pic you posted... You look like you are slightly pulling on that one: if you look at your hands they are under an angle to the reins (while you want to have bit - rein - hand as a straight line). I'd raise them a little and keep elbow/hand more relaxed and elastic.

Thanks Kitten Val! Yeah, Bunny was so slow that day. Even the judge was telling me to keep her going, part of the reason I got last place out of 4 riders in my first Eq class

Oh yes. Bunny pulling The guy who leases her NEVER rides on contact. He just jumps her over cross rails a billion times and puts her away. She also was ridden in WP for awhile before I met her, so she isn't used to contact anymore. But she has been to the national level in dressage, so it's not like she can't do it!

Too bad she's just my lesson horse, I would LOVE to try and teach her to accept contact more!
