Malibu Barbie!

This is my new mare, she is a bit of a rescue. I just wanted to see what everybody thought of her conformation. I am pretty sure I know what everybody is going to say, but I like to hear other opinions. Apparently she was used for jumping and trail riding, and that are my plans for her. These aren't the best pictures, and all the pastures are flooded up here in MI so not much can really be done about her standing in mud right now. Oh, and she is also 17 years old, and a registered quarter horse, grand daughter of Streakin Six.

She's not a bad looking mare at all! She's just lacking any sort of muscling and is in bad need of some groceries. Her legs look fairly straight and very sturdy, and I really like her hind end and shoulder. She looks like she could have some major power once she puts some weight back on! She looks like she's a bit long in the back, but that could be from looking so bony right now. I think she's going to look fantastic in just a little while, I really like her!

I hope God tells her to smash her computer with a sledgehammer.

Other than a touch of muscle on her topline I think she's very pretty!

Yeah, the only thing I am worried about right now is if her back will hold up to moderate amounts of riding. I am also a bit concerned about (and you can see it pretty well in the first picture) is that her spine goes across her back, then suddenly dives (best way to describe it) into her rump. I am going to have the chiropractor out as soon as I can to check that.

Yes, there's also a small bump before her rear. you can see it best in the first picture.

She looks like a long horse... or one with legs too short for her =D
