Missy Again (All tacked up):)

When we first looked at Missy (Belgian/Qh cross) she looked like this:

Now with a little cleaning up and TLC she looks like this (a few months later):

Before many people thought she had a few conformation flaws, mostly from the BAD pictures.

Now as you take a stroll through her photo album you get to see a much better and more conformationally sound Little Missy.
(Well not so little...she is between 15.1-15.3 and still growing!)

Just look at that shiny coat and ripply muscles. ;)

PS: They were building a new barn....hence all the funny fencing and tractors.

Also, she wouldn't square up for anything. Every time I had her where I needed her, she would side-step or try and come closer to me to nuzzle up.....she loves attention and soon grew bored of the camera and was actually dozing in some shots! And finding a flat spot in this mountain valley was almost futile!

Aw, she's so adorable! Looking much better.
Ah, I know what ya mean, Lexi also loves attention & it's hard to keep her still like that, hehe!

Ride more, worry less.

She's looking a ton better! I think you got yourself a "diamond in the rough" ;)

she looks gorgeous!

I agree with JDi, you have a diamond in the rough.

Keep us updated on her progress!

Thanks!

I have been working hard to get her looking better.

I can't wait until she is stabled closer to me!

I have to drive 1.5-2 hrs to see her where she is at, because I won't be stabling her close to home until May. :( It has been a trying experience.

It is rather tiring, and the gas is awful!

Even when I move her closer she will be 45mins-1hr away.
Boarding here is either too far or close and VERY expensive.

I don't show any more, so I don't need the fancy barns and arenas we have close to my home. My husbands and my little 1 acre piece of land would be too small for a horse.
There is a pasture with a nice barn across from my mother-in-laws (20mins away), but then I wouldn't have a riding partner and I think it can be dangerous to ride alone. I believe in the buddy system. :)

And the farm I am boarding at has trails, a nice, inexpensive trainer, and a very caring owner who has become my friend and allows me to ride her horses when I can't make it out to see Missy. So I can suck it up and wait it out until May.
