Talking My mare's first time jumping

Heya, here are a couple pictures of my mares first time jumping at a show, she was so brave and a natural!

Please tell me what you think, this was last summer and I have just stuck to dressage all fall and winter but am thinking of doing trot pole, and caviletti work with her soon.

Please don't be mean about it but be honost. I also added two confo shots, she has warps on, and I already know she has slightly longer pasterns then one would like for a jumper. I have had 0 problems with her legs in the 2 years I have owned her.

Thanks

She looks like a pretty nice jumper. I'd like to see the knees a little more tucked but she's just learning and they're small jumps, so it should just come naturally to her. Conformationaly, she's quite adorable. I also LOVE your clip job :-D

You're welcome :) That's awesome though. I've had my mare for almost three years, been showing for 2, and she still gets nervous and spooky at everything.

Really good for her first time. She does not look very fit or maybe just under muscled on the topline, so don't do too much. Like most horses, she could benefit from dressage and free jumping. I like to think of dressage as horsey yoga or tai chi.

she got a good large scopey jump, like people said just needs bringing in a bit but its a learning curve for first time jumping its good, I found with my youngster when I broke him to jump I did lot loose schooling and practising after he had built his muscle up, then he naturally started to tuck himself in

I know nothing about confo so wont comment - but jump wise she has a sweet expression and looks extremely sensible.... she's not using her knees extremely well but doesnt have too... she not doing the typical greeny over jump so my guess is she's a very sensible mare...

Would be interesting to see her over something a bit more sizeable as I suspect she ould cope well....

I like her :)
