Default my pony and me!!!

This is my project pony sabrina...She is 14.3 1/4hh and can jump the world...Recently she pulled her tendon and is off for a while, but these are clips of us about 2 months ago.

**sorry about the video quality**

Video 1: trotting (critique sabrina as she is still learning to work through her back)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t66xxTKFUyg

Video 2: jumping (I know she picked up the wrong lead, but we only did it once because we were going out to do x-country) critique both of us please!!!

**The only thing i really noticed in the jumping was that I got a tad bit ahead on the secondjump.***

THANKS

I think you look good overall. There's always room for fine tuning! I would know! lol. You are a tad behind in the second jump, but I think it's a combination of you and your horse, not just you as a rider. It looks like he timed his strides a little funny over the second jump which would have sent you behind. I'm always a fan of releasing the reins when you jump, just so we're not pulling on our horses mouths.

Nice videos though! Kudos for the cameraman(woman) for keeping it still! lol.

Hello!

Very cute pony! And I love your green pad and polos!

On to the critique:

Trotting:
She looks like she carries herself very well, lots of expression through her legs, but she is very rushy. When a horse is balanced, they will have a nice 1-2-1-2-1-2 (etc) trot, almost to the point where you could set a metronome to it - without any rein contact. So I would work on her coming up underneath of herself and working through her back, and coming back to you. There is a thread going under Training - Trotting too Fast (or something to that effect) where I have suggested some exercises for this. Looks like you're doing a great job though!

Jumping:
Very cute jump! You two make quite the pair! The only thing I could really comment on is how much you seem to be working over the fence - you ride nice and quiet through your upper body up to the fence, then all of a sudden *snap* you're making huge movements forwards and upwards over the jump, almost like you're jumping the jump instead of your horse. Try and keep your upper body nice and consistant, with only slight movements over the jumps. However, I noticed it more on the 2nd jump, so it could have been compensation for getting a tad behind..?

Regardless of the critique, you both look awesome, and I'm sure you'll go far :)
