New 8 year old 'paint' mare - Ayla

Thought I would post a few pics of my new mare. Just looking for some overall critiques of her confo, as well as what people think her breeding may be (I'm thinking quarter horse/paint), and whatever else people may want to add. Her breeding is unknown as she was rescued by the girl I bought her from. The pics I have so far arent great for confo. But I'll post some more as I get them.

She looks much like my Flicka, a solid paint as well. Beautiful girl! They're smart those girls!

Wow, I love her too. Very stout looking girl you've got there. It appears you have her standing in a slight hole in those first pictures so it makes her look much more downhill than what she really is. I just want to say... I LOVE her feet and legs, good bone, big feet, straight and strong. Good hock angle, pasterns are not too long or too short and they have great angle. Those are the feet and legs that all horses should have.

She would likely make a superb roping horse.

Awe thanks everyone! I absolutely love her, she has the most amazing disposition as well and yes cakemom she is very smart too! I'm glad to hear that her confo is good as I don't have much experience with that. That's cool about the name to herdbound, I read somewhere that it also means 'halo around the moon' in Turkish, I kind of named her after ayla in jean auels

I kind of named her after ayla in jean auels(spl?) earths children books because her personality reminded me of her, very strong and sassy yet feminine and gentle at the same time. Sorry if I sound a bit braggy, I'm just over the moon about this girl! Haha

I agree with smrobs - she's got great legs! Nice short cannons, very symmetrical angles, especially from the front view.
Obviously built a tad downhill (typical for a suspected paint), she's got a wicked shoulder angle, if you were to do any o/f work with her, those knees will be to die for. Needs some muscle over her topline, especially right where her neck ties into her withers, but that will come with time and work.

Very beautiful!
