    Ocala Riding Critique?

This is my horse Ocala. We havn't done much, but I just would like to know what y'all think.I work very hard to keep weight on him, so just fyi that's why he seems thin, he's a thoroughbred. Thanks so much!

This is everything from our first ride to recently. Also will attach photos when I figure out how...

Is that your 4th time jumping ever?? You look fantastic. Your legs are stuck to his sides, your back is flat, arms are relaxed, not remotely ahead of his motion. I sure wish I could jump like that in my 4th ride. You are a very good rider. Love your horse. He looks like a very kind boy.

Oh no, that's his fourth time lol! Thank you very much! He is very sweet, even when he was a baby he took care of me ;) Just out of curiosity, what do you think he's worth on today's market?

I think he's lovely!!! Fuss free nice and calm you couldn't ask much more from a TB could you!!

I share your pain with keeping a thoroughbred looking round' my tb is massive and I feed him so much but I can never get complete coverage over his ribs from every angle any lol..

Are you looking to sell Ocala? It's hard to tell what he is worth w/o knowing his health history.. Siobhan said he may have had a soundness issue? Was he raced?

I liked your video! No critiques really..you could marginally improve your corners by looking for the next jump the second you land. How did he do at flowermound? That clip was cut short..

Kacy- I'm not looking to sell, but I havn't got a quote on him in a while. He doesn't really look like that right now, but he is coming back. I agree, our corners are lacking for sure. Ocala has had situational soundness issues, like sore feet from rocks and farrier issues, but he has good feet and is pretty sound usually when he's not doing stupid things.
    Thanks everyone!

Courtney ~ Welcome to Horseforum by the way. Lol

For a second, I thought Lucy just impressed you that much! LOL must be wishful thinking on my part.

If I had to guess I would say in the ball park of $6000 in the current market and if he has the winter fuglies. Lead changes are always a big selling point..

Okay thanks! Gosh, if I could seriously look at Lucy for myself I would, she's really neat! But I can't let my boy go, we've got things to do and places to go! Lol maybe one day he will win a Grand Prix and I will (just kidding :) )
