Opinions/Critiques on Andy PLEASE!

This is Andy, he is a 4 year old Canadian bred percheron/thoroughbred gelding. I am working with him for my BO (nobody else touches him, so I get to do what I want, a lot of people are scared of him cause he's so big) He is 17.1 hands and just turned 4 so he's going to be MASSIVE!

I know the shots aren't conformation shots, but I would just love opinions on him! Thank you!!

He's handsome, but PLEASE! Post these in the Pic section if they aren't conformation shots. :)

He looks like he could use a couple of hundred pounds. Other than that I love him. I’m partial to draft crosses.

Really? You can't see his ribs at all.

In the picture of him trotting, it looks to me like he's landing on his toes instead of his heels. This applies extra pressure to the coffin bone, and results in extra wear and tear on the plantar cushion and the flexion tendon.

Whereas, a horse that lands on his heels is already in motion to absorb the shocks from his feet hitting the ground and has an easier time with forward motion. Just something to think about if you plan on using him hard... jumping, etc.

Really. Look how his hips jut out, how he’s narrow through the chest, heavy in the front end and small (and somewhat tucked up) in the back… He needs to gain some weight in the form of muscle, IMO.

Here's an example of what I mean by his feet. See how this horse's heels are down? That's how he SHOULD be moving.

I think his nose band is alittle tight. He is really pretty though, I agree that his neck is short.
