Well I'll definitely have something, either pictures or video. My mom got really frustrated with the video camera last night and wasn't looking forward to filming again. I told her I just needed some jumping video and she wont have to film again for a while. She said she'd film me again if she had to, but I'm thinking I'll give her a choice of video or pictures. XD

hey, heres a lil tip. Half halt before the canter. And when they strike off, give a slight release with the reigns. Of course still maintain contact and all. This will allow the horse to feel like its head isnt being yanked up, and you can relax your arms. She willi yank on your hands if you yank on her mouth. So if you give just a little bit to her mouth BEFORE she yankes, she'll be happier and will behave. Don't tolerate snapping of the reigns, but make sure you're not causing it

Hey thanks for the tip, it sounds like it might work. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how exactly do you do a half halt? I've heard some people say you give a little feel down the outside rein, and some people say that you give a quick tug and release on both reins. I've never been properly taught how to do one.

As everyone else said above. You are slouching in the saddle and you need to loosen up the reins. Sit up straight and relax. You are trying to hard. You are leaning a little too much forward. It might also help with the stirrup poistion and take the metal part of the stirrup and stretch it to you arm pit. The right length should be when the bottom of the metal part of the stirrup is all the way in your arm pit touching your side.
