This is Casey. He's a quarter horse gelding and about sixteen years old. I know the picture isn't great, but I would really appreciate anything you can tell me about his conformation.
Its not a bad picture!
Really pretty boy! I think his croup is a little steep and he's probably cow-hocked. His shoulder looks steep to me as well. Not bad, not bad at all!
I'm going to be a meanie and say next time you take a picture like that, if you can, put the reins over his neck and onto his wither area. I like the look of the reins being on the neck, but hey, that's just me.
I think he is REALLY cute. His withers look funny to me, but I'm used to the mountains my TBs have for withers. Upper neck muscle seems a little weak, but besides that I like him. Someone might point out that he has short legs, but I like it. I am pretty sure I like it because it reminds me of my old QH who I sadly do not have anymore. He is REALLY cute.
You guys are so nice here! Do you have any suggestions for strengthening his upper neck muscles? His hooves are going to be trimmed next week. I'm glad other people think he's as cute as I think he is.
