I agree with Clementine on most points, but I do disagree on one point.

I think the sorrel has nice balanced shoulder and hip angles. I don't see steep pasterns, either. She has slight sickle-hocks, and her neck ties in a bit low for my taste. She has a really sweet face, and kind-eye. I think you have some nice mares there and hope you have a really good time with them.

Someone else said that too when I posted her pic on a unique markings thread, but I'm not a harry potter fan so I don't know what that means.

Thanks Sahara for taking a look.

Like has been mentioned, they both have beautifully kind expressions...Gizmo, I have to say I disagree that her eye looks mean from any angle. I can see mischievous, but definitely not mean. I can see both the QH and Arab in her. She has a fairly straight shoulder, so her gaits will be rather choppy, but it's nothing extreme. Other than that she looks like just a good all around horse.

The percheron is built pretty much according to her breed...she is downhill and she stands under in front (front legs slant backwards), so she will be difficult to balance at faster gaits, but these are actually advantages of a pulling horse like her breed is...they can throw their weight into the collar better. But she looks just really tolerant and willing...perfect husband-horse. :)

Both of them have some other minor flaws, like the percheron is lightly toed-out in front and the Quarab has slightly thinner bone structure than is desirable (she gets that from the arab), but again nothing extreme and no big deal for trail/western pleasure/light gymkhanal horses. I'll bet you guys have a lot of fun with them. :)

Oh, Harry Potter has a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead from when he defeated the antagonist, Lord Voldemort as a baby...long story. But that's why people are associating your horse with him. :)

The Perch/QH is downhill and high croup. Has a good neck for the Perch. And I don't know if it is the picture but he hock is really angled.

The Arab/Paint...I question her breed. I don't see much Arab, but she could be low percentage. Anyways she has a shallow chest and needs her feet done. Great back though!

Thank you both for taking a look. Kc, I have the arabs papers so I'm sure that's what she is. It must be her winter coat, she is such a harry beast right now. Her grandfather is the arab world champion Aladdinn and her sire was also an arab. Her dam was the paint.

I like the Arab/paint mare. Good shoulder, good topline, she fits "in the box" conformationally, overall impression of balance.

I couild fault her for her neck being underdeveloped, but at 2 1/2, we can assume that she's going to fill out and add muscle.

Should be a solid, useful little horse. I would love to see a photo of her in her summer coat and stood up for a photo.

I don't have anything to add to what others have said about the QH/Perch except that I like that cross, and you shouild certainly get both substance and good temperment from him.

Thanks maura, I will definitely post more pictures when they shed out.
