    Please critique my mare.

    Hi there!
I just joined this forum today. I'm from Canada and my name is Katie. I would love you guys to critique my mare Willow. She is about 15.2hh and around 8 years old now. I use her for mostly pleasure riding, I do occasionally jump her too nothing over 3ft, and nothing too serious. She looves to jump though!

    These were taken Nov 2010

She's a very pretty girl. Most of the pictures are impossible to judge conformation from but there are a couple of decent ones there.

What I see is that her shoulder is a little steeper than ideal and her neck is a bit short. She is also a touch downhill and her head is a little coarse for an Arab. Her back legs might be just a little bit posty but not too bad.

However, her front legs and feet are perfect, nice short back, and beautiful gaits. I also love how thick she is through her chest and rump. Nice stout horse you got there.

Wow, she is one heck of a gorgeous girl. Arabian, right? My favorite kind of arab-gracefully delicate, but with enough bone structure to give them substenance! I know this sounds weird, but her structure kind of looks like my Percheron's. Is she part draft?

I see a bit of a steep shoulder and a bit of a bull neck, but she does okay with her neck from what I can see--it has a very pretty arch to it.

    Thank you Tamara
Smrobs- Thank you for your critique and I know these pics arent the best but they are the best I have until Spring unfortunately. Also I believe she may have some Percheron in her. I have heard from others though that she does look Arab/Perch but other have also said Arab/Qh and no draft at all, which I can't really see personally. Would love to know everyones thoughts on what you see in her..if you don't mind :) Also why you think she has this or that in her. It doesnt really matter but I'm always curious as to see whatt others can see in her.

Yup as far as I know there is definitely some Arab in her! :) I don't think she's full though.
