Crimson- Naw, I think I will be keeping this one. =] That's what I usually do, find free or cheap horses, train, and sell. But I really want to have one horse that is mine, and will stay mine for a while.

I rode him today! I started out with putting on the saddle pad and saddle like he was a newbie, shaking things and making lots of noise and movement, and he just stood there, head lowered and ears floppy, basically falling asleep. We are bonding so well already! I let him go to walk around the corral to see what he would do. All he wanted to do was follow me. So he walked, turned, and backed with me for a few minutes, then I bridled him up and took him to an area to where I could lunge him. I did for a while, he didn't seem bothered at all. He just did what I asked. I leaned over him, stepped up and put weight on him, and eventually sat on him. I sat on him and got off several times. He just stood there. So I decided to ask him to walk off. He did. Tomorrow I think I will just put him in a ring snaffle. I had him in an Argentine snaffle, because the guy I got him from said that he was ridden in a Tom Thumb before. I hate TTs.. so I used the Argentine. He was very responsive, but I felt like it was just too much for him. He needs something more gentle. He walked, stopped when asked, back a few steps for me, tucked his head well, and we even jogged a little. I was so happy with him.

I got a lady who was there to take a picture of us, but she did it from the front and it wasn't my favorite angle. Then when I was done, and getting ready to untack him, Jerry (boyfriend of the owner of the boarding place) said, "let me take a picture!" and I already had his bridle off and so just jumped on him with the halter. He kinda acted like, "why are you on me with nothing in my mouth?" But he stood still and I love the picture he got!! Just got to show him off!! I <3 him!!
